“Dear brother/sister,”
This hadith clearly shows the great importance of prayer, which is the foundation and the clearest manifestation of submission to Allah.
“This is a divine guarantee that those who perform their prayers with due respect and punctuality will be protected in their lives and possessions.”
“According to the Jarijites and some Hanbalites who adhere to the apparent meaning of this hadith, it is understood that whoever abandons prayer becomes an unbeliever and therefore their actions are in vain. The Jarijites in particular have compared this hadith to the verse of its meaning and have considered the vanity of actions as evidence of disbelief.”
“However, according to the vast majority of scholars in the Sunnah community, the relevant verse in the chapter of the Table is also against it. This is because the opposite meaning of the expression contained in the verse is also the following:”
“According to another interpretation, the expression of the hadith is made with a warning directed towards guidance, therefore it is expressed harshly. This is like a comparison. That is to say, whoever abandons the evening prayer seems as if all their actions have disappeared.”
“Furthermore, mentioning only the evening prayer here is to highlight its virtue. And it cannot be compared with the other prayers.”
“These statements are only valid for the evening prayer that has not been performed on that day. Comparing them with other prayers is a mistake.”
