– In the verse 84 of the Surah of Isra it says: “Say: Each person acts according to their own nature and way of being. In this case, your Lord knows best who follows the right path.” What does this mean?
“Dear brother/sister,”
“Every feeling and emotion that is given to a person is not to distance them from God. On the contrary, it is to bring them closer and help them progress towards God. Those who are unaware of this secret defend the elimination of certain feelings and emotions that exist within a person. However, this is impossible for some people.”
“However, most of our wise men are convinced that these feelings and emotions have been given to us to make progress. It is necessary to separate them from mundane and insignificant things and direct them towards eternal things. That is to say, it is not about eliminating these feelings, but about directing them towards good things.”
“Por ejemplo, the feeling of thinking about the future is present in everyone. If a person wishes, they can only think about earthly life and work solely for it. But this feeling and emotion has not been given to us just for that. So, this feeling should be directed towards something more valuable. It should be in the form of thinking about our infinite future, the hereafter. In this way, we strive to become a beloved servant of God.”
“By doing this, you can turn the feeling of stubbornness that has been given to you into good actions and turn it into an act of worship.”
“Uno leads to human beings to sin, the other to devotion. The side of sin is not pleasing to God, but if used for good, it is welcome.”
“Por ejemplo, if a person becomes obsessed with constantly gaining wealth and possessions, and in the end does not give zakat, this feeling will lead them to destruction. Or if a person does not tire of adopting any means to reach any position they have set as a goal, and shows ambition by sacrificing their values, then they are using this feeling in the wrong place. Allah curses those who have this feeling. However, if a human being channels this feeling of ambition correctly, they will surely become the ruler of all feelings.”
“Here, the human being can direct all their feelings and emotions towards good things.”
