“Dear brother/sister,”
“When a person wishes to begin praying, they must first prepare in their heart the intention of which prayer they will perform. Then, after leaving their hands at their sides, they must raise them and recite the takbir. In this way, different narrations of hadiths are also gathered.”
“After saying a few more things after this statement, to reinforce the topic, he has briefly summarized his previous statement as follows:”
“Indicates the following three hadiths:”
“- The hadith about the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) raising his hands when saying the takbir, narrated by Bukhari and Abu Daud.”
“- Then, Gazalî said: “The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to release his hands when saying the takbir, and when he wanted to read, he would place his right hand over his left.” If this narration is authentic, it is even more beautiful than what we mentioned previously.” According to what is understood from Gazalî’s expression, what is mentioned here as “releasing” or “sending” refers to leaving the hands by the sides.”
– According to the Hanafi, Shafi’i, and Hanbali schools, the person who prays must tie their hands after Takbir. This is because there are authentic hadiths about this topic. None of these hadiths mention that the hands should be let loose to the sides.
