“- Those who interpret the word “mevla” in this hadith as “friend”, pay attention to the words of Hz. Ali in the incident of rahbe. If he had truly been his friend, wouldn’t he have said something like this: “I am a friend of whoever, and Ali is also his friend”? Hasn’t our Prophet said this repeatedly in the brotherhood pact?””- What was the point of making thousands of people wait under the scorching sun just for the concept of “friend”?””Hopefully people approached this matter with reason instead of fanaticism. The famous tafsir writer of the Sunni School, Jalaluddin al-Suyuti, has explained this topic in his work titled ‘ed Dürrü’l mensur fi’t tefsir bi’l me’sur’.”
