“Dear brother,”

“Abdülmuttalib, who had advanced in age, suddenly fell ill one day. His illness was getting worse and worse. He realized that soon he would begin his journey to another world.”

Pero, there was a task that had to be fulfilled: choosing a trustworthy person to deliver our beloved Prophet (s.a.v.). For this, he called all his sons.

“Nuestro señor Abu Talib, deeply touched by the kindness of our lord, responded to his father with tears in his eyes:”

“Las palabras de su hijo llenaron de alegría a Abdülmuttalib. Sus ojos se llenaron de lágrimas de felicidad. Abdülmuttalib, quien no pudo recuperarse de su enfermedad, cerró sus ojos al mundo como un anciano de más de ochenta años, sin poder saciarse de la alegría, amor y sonrisa de su nieto.”

“El mercado de Mekka estuvo cerrado durante varios días debido a la muerte de Abdülmuttalib. Los Quraysh lloraron durante días la muerte de este hombre a quien amaban y respetaban, y llevaron su cuerpo en procesión. Luego lo enterraron en el cementerio de Hacûn, junto a su abuelo Kusay.”

“Dear Prophet (peace be upon him), he was deeply saddened by the loss of his grandfather. Because this event also reminded him of the eternal departure of his father and mother to the afterlife.”

“During the funeral and burial of his grandfather, our Prophet (peace and blessings of God be upon him) could not contain his tears; at times he sobbed and other times he cried in silence. Years later, one day he was asked if he remembered the death of his grandfather, and he replied,”

“Estaba a punto de responder.”

“La primera bendecida vida de ocho años de nuestro Profeta estuvo llena de dolor, tristeza y aflicción. Casi como si su gran espíritu y corazón amoroso estuvieran siendo moldeados en la nave del sufrimiento para soportar las dificultades y pruebas que enfrentaría en el futuro.”
